“In Iśvara is the complete manifestation of the seed of omniscience.” ~ Satchidananda

“In the Self is the unsurpassed source of omniscience.” ~ Stiles

Artwork thoughts:  This piece draws much upon the following from Satchidananda’s explanation of the sutra: “Imagine a circle.  You see the space within it and the space outside it.  The inner space is finite and the outer is infinite.  If you accept the existence of a finite space, automatically you have to accept an infinite one.  Without the infinite there can be no finite.  We feel that our minds and knowledge are limited and finite. So, there must be a source of infinite knowledge beyond that.”

Drawing upon theoretical physics, the piece is a composite of two images; a black hole in the foreground and a wormhole in the background.  The block hole is representative of where space and time become a one, a gravitational singularity, whereas the worm hole is a conduit through 4-dimensional space and time.
